SOFTWOOD DECKING
Softwoods are generally used for construction purposes and with their durability enhanced by pressure treatments they are ideal for use in many decking situations. Typically a good general purpose softwood widely used in deck board production is scandanavian redwood.
Dragon Decking use redwood in deckboard sections of Ex 38mm x 150mm and Ex 38mm x 125mm ( "Ex" refers to sawn size before machining.) with a choice of profiles including "V-groove" (2 or 5), Smooth with round edge and ribbed plus border. We can also install high quality Canadian Barefoot decking.
Deckboards are fixed in place with Stainless steel or galvanised concealed fixings which greatly enhance the appearance and reduce the chance of splinters or rough nail / screw heads on the surface.
Dragon Decking apply a specialist timber treatment on completion of your deck and a specialist penetrating decking oil should be applied annually to maintain the appearance and durability of your deck.
